Desata Analytics, Inc. ("Desata," "we," "us") operates the loan limit calculator at loanlimit.app. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. See our Terms of Use for additional terms governing your use of this tool.
The calculator itself collects no student data. No student names, IDs, Social Security numbers, or other personally identifiable student information are entered into, transmitted through, or stored by this tool. All calculations happen in your browser or in a stateless server request that retains nothing after the response is sent.
When you use the print feature, we ask for your name and work email address. Your name and email appear on the printed report alongside the calculation date. We retain this information to understand how many institutions use this tool.
You may also choose to receive email updates about this tool and related regulatory changes. This is optional and does not affect the print feature. If you opt in, we use your email to send periodic updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
We do not sell your personal information.
We use standard web server logs that may record your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We do not use this information to identify individual users.

The calculator does not set cookies. We may store your name and email in your browser's local storage so you do not need to re-enter it on each visit. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us except when you use the print feature.
Calculation inputs and results are not stored. They exist only for the duration of your session. Work email addresses submitted through the print feature are retained by Formspree and by Desata to track tool adoption and, if you opted in, to send product updates. We delete your information within 30 days of receiving a deletion request.
We protect the information we collect using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
